Summary

This project will develop a 5 year strategy that reflects the kangaroo industry’s research, development and extension activity priorities. This plan will be developed through extensive consultation with industry and other relevant stakeholders. It will involve 6 stages:
1. Initial start-up discussions and document collection
2. Brief industry situational analysis and RD&E strategy framework
3. Industry workshop to develop plan
4. Correspondence with industry to seek input on the plan (and commence ownership)
5. Revision of draft plan and submission to industry and RIRDC
6. Final plan
Throughout the project the consultants will keep in close contact with RIRDC management and the (proposed) project steering committee.

Objective Summary

The primary objective of this project is to prepare a five year RD&E plan that reflects the kangaroo industry’s research, development and extension activity priorities.
A secondary objective is to ensure engagement of the industry in the development of the RD&E plan through consultation opportunities with industry and other relevant stakeholders during its preparation.
