Summary

This project will establish a Good Manufacturing Practice standard for the Australian Tea Tree Oil Industry; that facilitates a uniform approach to identifying and controlling critical steps in manufacturer of tea tree oil for use in products other than those intended for human therapeutic use.
The standard will expand upon the ATTIA code of Practice such that there is a demonstrable approach to achieving quality and uniformity; and preventing contamination realised by the application of the core principles of GMP. QMSM will develop and propose a range of auditing tools and/or thresholds that could be applied in regards to discretionary stringency applicable to audits and accreditation processes.
A distillers’ forum will be conducted. QMSM will present the standard and the template forms, providing training in its applicable use, and general expectations in terms of:
• Fit within other standards
• Overall expectations
• Specific expectations
• Quality systems development and implementation.
ATTIA will present the accreditation model including expectations in terms of meeting the standard, auditing models and accreditation programs.
Both parties will participate in Q&A as merited by the forum.
