Summary

The project will identify the fungus that is causing the heartwood rot in Santalum album at the Frank Wise Institute in Kununurra and the impact the fungal disease is having on the heartwood oil content of Santalum album trees. Furthermore a non-destructive technique using electrical waves for heartwood and heartwood rot measurement within the bole of the tree will be assessed.
