Objective Summary

The project will aim to answer the following questions:
Is a microbial pathogen responsible for the truffle rot?
Is there a role of invertebrates as a vector for disease or a primary causal agent?
Is there a physio-chemical link or cause? Particularly soil compaction or disturbance
Can we employ cultural or chemical control practices to reduce rot?
