Summary

This project is an independent MER evaluation of the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation Research and Development for Profit (Rural R&D for Profit) 18-02-008 Taking the Q (query) Out of Q-Fever: Developing a better understanding of the drivers of Q-Fever spread in farmed ruminants.

The MER evaluation will be conducted by a two-member review team: Dr Malcolm Ramsay and Dr Andrea Britton. The review team will evaluate project progress, compliance of activities and objectives within the approved activity matrix and to report against the MER framework that exists for the project. The evaluation team will consult widely with key stakeholders, research partners, and external participants.

The theory of change for the project will also be assessed. Performance indicators across all four research institution project groups will be assessed and how a One Health approach was integrated into achieving the project objectives and activities. The review will objectively measure the degree that project outputs were delivered, outcomes achieved and the One Health-ness of the project.

The review will identify risks to the project and how these were managed. It will also outline lessons learnt, key recommendations and how successfully the activities, outputs and communications have provided a useful service to Australian producers, industry, RDCs, governments and others.
