Summary

AgriFutures Australia wish to design a tech scouting project using the ‘bowtie’ model developed as part of ‘A Technology Scouting Model’ project completed in late 2022.
The aim of the pilot project is to involve Innovation Brokers from two Drought Hubs and test the model across four focus areas including: water, soils, animal condition scores and one other (TBC).
Phase 1 of the project should use existing AgriFutures and Drought Hub networks, infrastructure and resources to connect potential solution providers and producers. This Phase should rely heavily on solutions listed on the growAg platform.

Objective Summary

To facilitate a co-design approach that involves the Innovation Brokers and AgriFutures Australia personnel.
 
The aim is to establish the Tech Scouting approach using existing networks, infrastructure and resources.
 
Phase 1 will have a 1-month co design phase and 3 months implementation to design and test an operational plan.
 
At the end of the 4 months, a ‘Phase 1 Impact and Scaling’ report will be prepared that documents producer engagement, solution engagement, and recommendations to enhance and scale the model.
