Summary

The project shall present an analysis of the characteristics of the Asian vegetable industry in Australia and how these have changed during the last 10 years.
It will include an assessment of issues affecting the sustainability of the industry, including quality assurance, chemical usage and biosecurity risk management.
It will also assess the level of use of research outcomes and industry communications especially with LOTE growers, and will conclude with a capability assessment of the industry and priorities to support future directions in the industry.

Objective Summary

To review and analyse the developmental status and health of the Australian Asian vegetable industry, assess the sustainability of the industry and recommend future directions and priorities.
