Summary
The project aimed to add value to the weather station network established in the initial PTUP project and create a robust support system while demonstrating how to integrate weather station data with on farm monitoring systems with the overall aim to continue to grow AgTech adoption across the northwest coast of Tasmania. By engaging 6-10 growers already involved in the project to adopt on farm moisture monitoring systems, we will demonstrate how to integrate the weather station network into on farm systems. This will be achieved through the delivery of field days and a robust workshop targeting the barrier that has been identified around support and data interpretation – data to decision making.

Objective Summary
The progression grant project has several objectives, firstly to create a pathway to continued agtech adoption on the northwest coast of Tasmania by developing value add tools to support the weather station network.
To work closely with selected growers within the PoPS group to develop a plan in line with their goals when adopting soil moisture monitoring equipment.
Install soil moisture monitoring probes on before mentioned growers’ properties to be integrated into the weather station network and examples/demonstration sites for how the two can work together to achieve long term goals through the use of technology adoption.
Provide field days at new locations so growers get a feel for what is occurring in the field.
Provide a robust workshop to tie the theme of data to decision making together and provide the support that growers have been asking for.
Provide ongoing technical support
