Objective Summary

In the immediate term, the matters that require attention are:
• Articulate drivers for and why there is interest in investing in R&D projects
• Explore how partnering could occur with RIRDC to explore new opportunities both within industry and other RDCs (e.g. HAL)
• Identify what specific R&D priorities and opportunities are front of mind with potential partners to enable further progression of new industries
• Consider the Round 3 of the Rural Research and Development for Profit grant guidelines and if there is a possibility of developing a project under this round, or a subsequent round in response to identified R&D priorities. This could be either as a large project in conjunction with commercial partners or a ‘small Kakadu plum only’ project partnering with The Kakadu Plum company and University of Queensland (who have approached up already), or something else altogether.
