Deer

Six deer species form the foundation of the Australian deer industry, supporting a diverse and growing sector. Many deer farms in Australia are integrated with agritourism enterprises, offering unique farm experiences alongside commercial production. In addition to premium venison (deer meat), the industry also produces velvet antler, deer skins, and valuable co-products such as tails and blood, which are highly sought after in traditional Eastern medicine. This combination of food, fibre, and wellness products highlights the versatility and global demand for Australian deer farming.
