This RIRDC report is an Appendix to the RIRDC publication 09/083: Revisiting Missed Opportunities – growing women’s contribution to agriculture.

The report presents an updated estimate of women’s contribution to agriculture and regional communities and compares its findings to estimates presented in the 1998 Missed Opportunities report. The 2006 estimates show that when a relatively full range of women’s on-farm, off-farm, household and community work is considered, it is likely that they contribute over 49 per cent of the total value of the output that might be attributed to farming communities.
