The main aim of the project was to provide a better understanding of the impact of pesticides on the soil biological health in rice cropping systems and on the ecosystems receiving drainage water from rice bays during the spray-season. This report summarises the laboratory and field investigations on the assessment of the ecotoxicological impacts of rice pesticides on both aquatic systems and on soil micro-organisms.
