View project

Rice Breeding Australia Ltd. (RBA) has rapidly evolved the previous rice breeding program despite significant challenges in its first year of operation. RBA commenced the CY 2023 season with the opportunity to continue the rice breeding program as in previous years as well as establish a new direction. RBA set itself an ambitious task of implementing 12 recommendations that arose from the 2020 Jefferies Review of the Australian Rice Partnership (ARP); all but one have been implemented. There were 11 other initiatives highlighted in the Annual Operating Plan for investigation at the commencement of this project. Of these, nine have been completed.
