This report investigates the potential for using electronic commerce over the Internet. This is a new phenomenon but it is growing rapidly and has significant implications for the way that farmers are likely to do business in the future. The report also looks at the current usage and some of the implications of a move to electronic commerce for farm businesses and other businesses in rural areas. A useful adjunct to the report is a listing of a range of commerce related Internet sites.
