In recent years, resources have been allocated to regional and rural communities in Australia to provide information technology and connectivity infrastructure. Funds have been provided to support the establishment of online communities, web sites and regional web portals. This raises the question ‘is there life after funding?’ This publication provides examples of low cost options that should allow any community to develop an Internet strategy without reliance on funding.
