The Ginger Progam RD&E Plan 2017-2022 has articulated three objectives. These objectives are to assure industry competitiveness, build stronger linkages with customers and the market and coordinate the industry’s future direction. The Australian ginger industry had a farm-gate GVP of $32 million in 2015 and ginger growers are positive about their future, but acknowledge the importance of growing markets to remain competitive in a global trading environment.
