This RIRDC report is the first published record of the presence of heartwood rot fungal diseases in Indian sandalwood in Australia. It attempts to identify and quantify the possible impact of such diseases on sandalwood aromatic heartwood and oil production.
Due to the structure of the Indian sandalwood industry, a wide range of companies and groups would be interested in this report. Whilst specifically targeted towards researchers and tropical plantation owners, the report will also be of interest to investors and private plantation owners to understand the risks of their investment.
