This RIRDC project looked at developing a system to harvest and thrash medic pods with a conventional header, rather than suction harvesting. Suction harvesting is slow, costly and environmentally damaging. By devising a system to complete this process with a conventional header and mobile thrashing unit, it will reduce the need for specialised machinery, and decrease the amount of environmental degradation.
