This RIRDC research established tools to assist in the investigation of suspected cases of chlamydiosis in chickens. Chlamydiosis is a disease which potentially could be transmitted to poultry workers of it were to occur in chicken flocks.
The report is targeted at broiler breeders and chicken meat producers in the Australian poultry industry. The diagnostic tools developed will assist farmers and veterinarians in the diagnosis and identification of the exact organism involved in suspected chlamydiosis outbreaks.
