The management of odour is a priority for the broiler industry in order to protect the amenity of surrounding neighbourhoods and to ensure that the future development of the industry is managed in an environmentally responsible way. Commercial technologies that act to reduce odour may provide effective options for the broiler industry to manage odour emissions.
This RIRDC report is aimed at providing recommendations and guidance for the broiler industry, regulators, odour control technology manufacturers and scientists regarding the effectiveness of odour control technologies, the methods for assessment of odour on farm and the relationships between farm management and odour.
