Objective Summary

To develop new, unique, high value high-producing MGO Leptospermum hybrids for the establishment of crops for large-scale production of medical grade honey and oil in regional areas of Australia. It will enhance the Australian honey and ornamental plant industries capacity to better exploit the genetic diversity in the Australian flora and will position Australian industry and researchers as leaders in the international arena for developing elite plants for high value honey production.
