AgriFutures Australia is growing the long-term prosperity of Australian rural industries and Catalysing a $10 million Australian Insect Industry.

One of the projects AgriFutures has invested in, is the Nutritional quality of edible insects and development of pet foods.

This project is the first of its kind in Australia, processing insects as pet food. Watch our video here.

The Australian pet food industry is estimated to be worth $2.4 billion.

In this podcast we hear from some of the people involved in processing insects as pet food project and why there is so much excitement about its potential.

We hear from insect producer, Mick Thornett, Insect Protein Association of Australia chair, Olympia Yarger and pet food manufacturer, Shaun Eislers.
