This report provides detailed information on the development and field validation of two new passive sampler devices as a means of estimating contamination of water with polar pesticides. Results of the study will aid in decisions on the implementation of best management practices to reduce the concentrations of pesticides entering the aquatic environment. Passive sampling technology will also be of benefit to irrigators as a management tool to indicate when contaminated water can be released or transferred and to demonstrate the effectiveness of withholding periods.
