This report provides information to assist the development of farming systems that benefit from integrating conventional broadacre crops and new woody biofuel crops. This report provides new information about the feasibility of cropping after an Acacia saligna (golden wreath wattle) phase crop, and of using mallee and acacia leaf material as green manures to maintain soil fertility, reduce the cost of fertiliser inputs and reduce nutrient losses compared to conventional agriculture.
