This study examines the components of the Australian supply chain to identify impediments to future growth. It highlights the need for raw material suppliers to meet the requirements of processors for consistent supplies that meet their stringent quality requirements. It also fi nds that a major impediment in the supply chain is the lack of an entity (or entities) focused on the development of new scientific c intellectual property on herbal medicine.
