This JVAP report aims to increase public awareness of private native forestry and to improve understanding of private native forest management issues by the general community as well as all levels of government.
Private native forestry is the management of native forests on privately-owned land to provide environmental services and commercial products, including wood. They are an important resource – environmentally, socially and economically – and are worthy of careful management, although there are strongly held and widely divergent views on how they should be managed.
